As much as I enjoy introducing you to each couple’s wedding invitation suite, there’s something so special about sharing their wedding day with you. It’s a chance for me to see every detail of their day in motion, I love seeing peeks of their wedding day stationery, plus it’s such a joy to see all of the planning we talked through in every meeting come to fruition in such beautiful ways. Today, I get to introduce you to Tara and Kevin’s wedding day!
When we were designing their stationery suite, they noted their desire to mail a classic and simple invitation to their guests. We focused on incorporating an ivory and black palette together with block and script fonts, and the design was accented by a crisp black border. It spoke to T+K’s timeless style so well, plus the suite left the door open for them to introduce their complete color palette on their June 9, 2017 wedding day.
Tara and Kevin spent the morning getting ready for their wedding ceremony, which took place at The Chapel of Sisters at the Holy Redeemer. Their church holds great meaning to them, so it was important to recite their vows and officially become husband and wife there. I love how Tara’s flower girls were never too far away as she put the finishes touches on her wedding day look. The church was so filled with light and color thanks to the fabulous stained glass windows surrounding the altar, and I was thrilled to design ceremony programs for the pair.
After their ceremony, Tara and Kevin traveled with their guests to Blue Bell, PA’s Normandy Farm. One of the best things about our area is the wealth of venues it offers, and Normandy Farm is a gem! The hotel and conference center feels modern and rustic at once, particularly when guests and wedding parties enter into the barn ballrooms. String lights were strung around the columns for added flair, tables were accented with bright yellow tulips and soft blue and white hydrangeas, plus the couple entrusted me to design their table numbers and custom signage.
From their bright palette, which is a wonderful option for a late spring wedding, to their thoughtful inclusion of meaningful details, Tara and Kevin made their wedding day their own.
