Michele and Matt’s wedding date was September 26th, 2014. I got to work with these two a lot in the months leading up to their special day!
I created save the dates for their shabby-chic wedding in blush pink and antique blue. Michele’s beach-themed bridal shower invitation was a project I undertook for Michele’s mom–it was so much fun to help her plan her daughter’s shower! I printed the invite on metallic paper, so it would shimmer just like real sand.
The antique blue and pearl white wedding invitations I created for Michele and Matt were really something special. The whole thing was tied together with a navy ribbon with a custom monogram tag. I also created a custom map of the area to help Michele and Matt’s guests get around!
Michele and Matt got ready at the Reeds at Shelter Haven, a gorgeous hotel and wedding venue in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. Michele carried a calla lily bouquet and wore a stunning mermaid gown. Matt wore a suit in a shade of antique blue that made appearances all throughout the day.
The path to the beach made the perfect spot for a first look! Michele got to sneak up on Matt and he was only allowed to peek when she tapped him on the shoulder. The look on his face when he saw her for the first time–priceless!
The beach was the perfect spot for bridal party and groomsmen’s pictures! I love the one of the full party on the rocks. That’s an album cover if I ever saw one!
The ceremony took place Saint Paul’s Church, a beautiful Roman Catholic parish in Stone Harbor. A waterfront cocktail hour was followed by a glamorous reception inside the Reeds at Shelter Haven’s Sweet Grass Ballroom. It’s a wedding photographer’s dream, flooded with natural light from wall-to-wall sliding glass doors. They open onto the outdoor veranda, offering a full view of the harbor.
