Pop, fizz, clink was the theme for Melissa and Alex’s New Year’s Eve wedding, and it’s safe to say their wedding is one of my favorites. The pair tied the knot on New Year’s Eve and danced into 2016 with their family and friends as husband and wife. I can never think of a better way to spend the final night of the year than at a wedding – what an incredible celebration!
We kicked things off with a gorgeous blush invitation suite filled with glitter. The suite featured gold foil stamping, metallic paper, their monogram, and so much more. It was the perfect way to introduce guests to M+A’s glamorous, bling filled fete at the Palace at Somerset Park!
The bride, bridesmaids, flower girl, mother of the bride, and mother of the groom spent the morning getting ready. I absolutely love their robes – so fun! Just after putting on her dress and accessories, Melissa had a first look with her dad. I adore these moments, and I hope first looks with dads continue to be a trend. Of course, the couple also had a first look together, and it was made even more special because their entire bridal party was on hand to witness every moment!
M+A chose to welcome their guests to the Palace for both their ceremony and reception (a wonderful choice, especially on a holiday!). Their glamorous theme continued with their gold foil and blush wedding programs. I have to admit, their ceremony is one of the best, and it proves indoor settings can be oh-so-gorgeous!
Post ceremony, the celebration was in full swing! Melissa and Alex framed their invitation and placed it on their guestbook table (obsessed with this detail). Centerpieces overflowed with crystals and hydrangeas, and the sweetheart table featured Mr. and Mrs. signs in gold, beautiful flowers, plus a sequin linen. A hot chocolate bar was at the ready for guests to enjoy along with a photo booth complete with props. A New Year’s Eve wedding would never be complete without hats, headbands, and glasses for guests to wear while ringing in the new year!
Because we knew the celebration was going to be fabulous, Melissa and Alex asked me to design door hangers for guests to place outside of their hotel rooms. I love this final personalized touch!
Melissa and Alex, I adore you and your incredible wedding day. Thank you for trusting me to create such fun, glamorous details for your soiree, and thank you to 5th Avenue Digital Photography for the fabulous photos of the wedding and to Lauren Driscoll Photography for photos of the wedding day stationery!
