Although it may still be the summer, I’m already looking ahead to the fall. Wood textures, plaid, and deeper palettes inspire me all year long, but the cooler months are when we see them the most. All three details filled every ounce of Jill and John’s wedding day – one of my favorites to date – and there isn’t a more perfect time than now to take you behind the scenes of all of their stationery details and much more.
J+J tied the knot on October 3, 2015 at Ash Mill Farm in Holicong, Pennsylvania. Their venue was one of our main points of inspiration, and we also wanted to honor the amazing fall season we experience in Bucks County. I was thrilled to set the tone for their rustic wedding day by designing their laser cut wooden invitations. Each piece was wrapped in a flannel bellyband and tied with twine and a button, and every detail surely made quite the impression to their guests!
On their wedding day, Jill spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids (everyone wore plaid!) before sharing her first look with John. I adore her lace dress, and her flower crown completed her look beautifully. The bridesmaids wore red dresses, which looked fabulous with their rustic bouquets, boots, and shawls, and I love that the gents sported plaid ties.
J+J recited their vows in a cozy space inside Ash Mill Farm before entering into the tent. I designed customized tags for the mugs, which awaited guests during cocktail hour. Plus, tables were lined with plaid, more beautiful florals, and pumpkins to honor the season. I was also thrilled to incorporate their rustic stationery first seen in their invitations into the menus waiting for guests at each placesetting!
After a night filled with dinner, dancing, and gorgeous design, guests were offered a bottle of wine complete with a custom monogrammed label before the wedding came to a close with a fun-filled exit.
