Remember Carey and Mike? They had a gorgeous evening wedding at the Morris Arboretum on May 11th, 2013. I had the pleasure of designing their save the date postcards, which you can see in this previous post. I also made their invitations, which can be found here.
Their day-of stationery continued on the same theme, featuring a Victorian font, a crescent moon in the corner, and shadowy blossoms at the bottom.
Carey and Mike’s wedding was a great example of a wedding with cohesive thematic elements. Matching your day-of stationery to your invitations and save the dates is a huge part of this. Their colors were midnight blue and white, and there were splashes of that awesome green from the invitations interspersed throughout the reception. They even had a cake that had the same crescent moon and flowers, with a green ribbon running around the bottom of each square layer.
Isabel March is the talented photographer who captured each amazing moment of Carey and Mike’s wedding. You can check out the cake and other details here, on her blog. She got some shots of the stationery that I created that aligned perfectly with the theme evening garden wedding theme, too.
Isabel’s pictures also provide some compelling reasons for having your wedding at the Morris Arboretum, especially if you’re a Philadelphia bride. A lot of people have their weddings at historic locations, and a lot of people have them at gorgeous outdoor locations, but not everyone gets to have both! If you have your reception at the arboretum, the base will be in the historic Widener Visitors Center, a former carriage house. It can hold up to 65 guests, with a tent available to extend this number to 175.
These photos showcase the stationery I made, the table setting, and the carriage house all in one! Big thanks to Isabel for that.
