I once heard a saying that “your year begins when you want it to”, and those words definitely apply to 2018. It seems everyone has spent the holidays or the first few days of the new year under the weather, and I am sad to say I am one of them. But, I finally feel as though I am on the mend. It may be January 10, but 2018 starts now, friends! Let’s get the year started with a new invitation suite.
One of my goals for 2018 is to design many more luxurious and glamorous invitation suites, and Michelle and Daniel’s suite from their September 23, 2017 wedding definitely fits the bill for my ideal year. The pair recited their vows at Our Lady Help of Christians Church. It’s a beautiful, classic church located in Abington, Pennsylvania. Once M+D were officially married, it was time for them to celebrate! With its stone facades, stunning gardens, and golf course views, they could not have chosen a more beautiful setting than Manufacturers’ Golf & Country Club in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.
When we were designing their suite, Michelle mentioned she wanted her invitations to evoke a classic, luxury feel. She loved the idea of using a triple layer clutch style invitation that had a pocket on the back for their inserts, which I was happy to design! The invitation layer was digitally printed in black on ivory metallic card stock. To make sure the couple’s suite felt special, we printed their names in gold foil. The invitation layer was layered on gold mirror card stock – another reason why I was thrilled to include gold foil on the suite – and this layer was placed on top of black card stock. This look is one of my favorites, and I also think the script font is fabulous!
There isn’t a palette more classic or luxurious than ivory, black, and gold (with foil!), and I think you will agree once you see the photos Carly is Inspired styled and Carly Fuller Photography captured below.
I hope your new year is off to a wonderful start! xo
