Remember Lauren and Ashley’s custom wedding invitations? I created them using pink ink, the letterpress technique, and gold foil stamping. Well, for Melissa and Brian, it was love at first sight! They asked me to create a similar invitation suite, using the Dallas Cowboy blue and gold foil.
Melissa and Brian’s wedding took place in Charleston, South Carolina at the Governor Thomas Bennett House. This historic venue was built circa 1825, and is one of the most architecturally important structures in the entire state. It has exceptional ornamentation plasterwork, a free-flying staircase, and the interior has been extended with a piazza overlooking one of the most beautiful traditional gardens in Charleston. It sounds like the perfect spot for an elegant wedding!
I have to hand it to Melissa and Brian–these letterpress wedding invitations were the perfect complement to such a stately affair. Letterpressed inserts elevated the suite, which was held together with a navy ribbon. I added a monogram to the band.
