While spring and fall weddings are loved by so many, I’m always so excited when couples contact me who are not only tying the knot in the winter but in January to boot! I completely understand why warmer months are beloved, but I’m so drawn to the promises of fresh starts offered by the very first month of each year. So, when Marialaina mentioned she and her now husband Brandon planned to wed on January 6, I could not even begin to think of a more fun wedding date to celebrate then and in every year to come!
M+B both said they wanted their wedding invitation suite to feel elegant, and Marialaina noted how much she adored triple layer suites for their added glamour. So, a triple layer suite is what I designed! Rather than creating a traditional invitation, I instead looked to another favorite style: clutch.
I carefully placed a pocket on the back of the suite for all of the detail cards, but it’s the layers of paper that I loved so much. The actual clutch was dark blue followed by a layer of rose gold and topped by a layer of ivory metallic shimmer. All of the suite’s most prominent information was printed on the top ivory layer, and it looked lovely for Marialaina and Brandon’s Cescaphe Event Group’s Atrium at Curtis Center wedding, if I do say so myself!
All of the photos of this suite are by Carly Fuller Photography. Make sure to take a moment to take in each detail! I loved this suite, and I’m so grateful M+B trusted me to design their wedding stationery. What an incredible way to kick off 2017!
