If you have been reading for a while, you’re well aware that I can never turn down the opportunity to design a wedding invitation when a couple is reciting their vows on Villanova’s campus. The university wins the award for one of the most picturesque in the area, and the architecture of all of the buildings, especially St. Thomas of Villanova, truly cannot be beat. So, when Lauren and Lee mentioned their ceremony location, I couldn’t wait to get started on their suite!
If it’s not obvious already, Lauren and Lee celebrated their marriage on October 14, 2017 at St. Thomas of Villanova. I loved being able to include a gold foil custom illustration of their ceremony location, not to mention the fact that we were able to utilize one of my favorite printing techniques – letterpress! The invitation was printed on beautiful thick cotton card stock, and the ivory color looked beautiful with the gold foil illustration. Plus, we also added gold foil gilding to the edges of the invitation for an added accent. Aside from gold foil, we turned to digital printing for the remainder of the suite. Navy ink looked lovely when paired with the other elements of the suite!
Lauren and Lee planned a classic, elegant, and luxurious fall wedding at Aronimink Golf Club, one of the premier country club’s in Newtown Square, so a suite that was completely timeless was definitely in order!
