When I mention I’m from Bucks County during conversations with new-to-me acquaintances, so often they ask if I’ve heard of New Hope. My answer is a resounding yes! New Hope is known for great reason – the streets are filled with charming shops and homes, there are countless delicious restaurants, welcoming bed & breakfast hotels perfect for wedding weekends, and plenty of locations for weddings. Plus, New Hope sits along the Delaware River, and it offers beautiful views, especially those you can catch from the bridge connecting Pennsylvania to Lambertville, New Jersey. New Hope and next door Lambertville are both wonderful spots for weddings, and I’m always enthralled to design for clients hosting soirees in either area.
Holly and Jeffrey hosted one of my favorite types of weddings on May 20, 2018 – brunch! The pair recited their vows in the morning at Lambertville Station, and then welcomed their guests for what I’m certain truly was a delicious brunch upstairs at the venue. Because their wedding had a simple and sweet theme, we wanted to keep that in mind while creating H+J’s wedding invitation suite.
We turned to wildflowers blowing in the spring breeze as our main design element, and that piece stood out on the main invitation as well as the RSVP insert. Dark purple ink was digitally printed onto ivory metallic paper, and the gold shimmer of the paper provided additional pizzazz. The horizontal design of the suite coupled with the other elements helped to create a whimsical piece I’m certain guests enjoyed finding in their mailboxes.
