One of my favorite aspects of designing wedding stationery suites is choosing colors. I love bright shades of purple just as much as pink pastels, but green always feels like a fresh departure. When Kimberly and Joshua suggested incorporating emerald green into their invitations for their December 12, 2015 wedding, I was on board immediately!
K+J were married at St Bede the Venerable in Holland, PA. After, they joined their guests for a beautiful reception at Blue Bell Country Club in Blue Bell, PA. Both the church and venue are such elegant and timeless spaces, so a classic invitation suite was absolutely in order.
With K+J’s emerald color palette as our inspiration, I designed a suite that included script and block text printed digitally onto shimmery pearl paper. To add in even more green, I mounted the invitation onto emerald metallic paper and wrapped each and every piece together with an emerald metallic bellyband complete with a monogram mounted on top.
Thank you so much to Lauren Driscoll Photography for capturing this classic invitation suite that’s as perfect for a wedding at a country club as it is for a black tie fete set in a Philadelphia ballroom!
