One of the best things about planning a Philadelphia wedding in the city or the suburbs is there is a venue for nearly any type of celebration, and there definitely isn’t a shortage of classic spaces. One of the most elegant and timeless places to celebrate in the area is the Philadelphia Cricket Club. While the sport that’s in its name (cricket) might come to mind first, the country club is also home to tennis courts, a golf course, and a clubhouse that are all ideal for portraits and beautiful receptions. Kierstin and Peter took note when they were planning their wedding day because the Philadelphia Cricket Club is where they chose to celebrate.
Kierstin and Peter celebrated at the tail end of October, and their day began with their ceremony at The Chapel at Nazareth Academy (another classic locale!). Then they rejoined their guests for dinner and dancing at the cricket club. Because both locations are so elegant, we knew K and P’s wedding invitation needed to evoke the same feelings, so a clutch-style wedding invitation was in order.
Dark green, pink, and burgundy all played large roles in Kierstin and Peter’s wedding day color story, and we decided to focus on including shades of dark green throughout their suite with plenty of ivory. Their main invitation featured a bordered piece decked out with script and block fonts that was layered onto a rich deep pine cardstock. The same fonts were continued throughout K and P’s inserts, which were printed digitally onto ivory cardstock. All of the pieces were tucked inside a deep pine clutch to complete their invitation’s simple yet elegant look.
If you’re searching for classic Philadelphia wedding inspiration, Kierstin and Peter’s invitation suite is sure to deliver! I hope you enjoy exploring the photos Haley Richter Photography captured and styled, and I also hope you feel inspired by the couple’s rich green color palette.
