The beautiful trait about navy is the color matches beautifully with just about any wedding style, plus it pairs as well with neutrals as it does with shades far brighter. Knowing she wanted a classic wedding invitation, Kate and Matt honed in on their ultimate color choice very quickly – navy. And, it was perfect for them.
K+M tied the knot in late fall on November 24, 2017. They began their wedding day on the Main Line at St Katherine of Siena in Wayne where they became Mr. and Mrs. during their traditional ceremony. Once married, they joyfully celebrated with their guests at Finley Catering’s newest venue, the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve. The space is gorgeous – a true epitome of classic style – and having just opened in the fall of 2016, it’s also Finley Catering’s newest venue.
Knowing classic was key, we transferred Kate and Matt’s love for navy and timeless details into their invitation suite through the use of letterpress. The solid and dotted border on the main piece of the invitation suite was one of my favorite details, plus I’m always drawn to combining script and block lettered fonts together. The letterpress of the main piece was printed onto thick cotton card stock, and the inserts were printed digitally in navy. Together, Kate and Matt’s invitation suite made quite the classic statement (a bellyband completed with the couple’s names and wedding date tied the whole look together), and I think you will enjoy seeing this suite below.
Thank you as always to Carly is Inspired for styling and Carly Fuller Photography for capturing every detail.
