During so many moments throughout the year, I cannot help but pause to say once again how truly lucky I am to work with the couples who choose to contact and hire me. I’m convinced I’ve met some of the best pairs as a result! One of those pairs is definitely Kaitlin and Alex. From the moment we met, I felt as though we were simply meant to work together. It was an incredible feeling because they are one of the sweetest couples!
Kait and Alex started celebrating their fall wedding day on November 3, 2018 at Saint Colman’s Church in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. They wanted to incorporate their romantic color palette of blush and gold, and I was happy to find inspiration through their colors as well as their wedding venue, the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve.
You all already know about my love for beautiful venue illustrations. I’m so inspired by the ways in which they help to set the scene for your wedding’s location, and I was excited to incorporate an illustration of the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve into Kait and Alex’s suite. We decided the envelope liner was a fun and unexpected spot to place it, and I love the result!
The rest of their suite included their triple layer blush pocketfold main wedding invitation, which also featured gold accents. Kait and Alex and adored the idea of a two-letter monogram, so we made sure each of their first initials was placed on their main invitation piece. The entire invitation was printed digitally in block and script fonts onto ivory metallic paper, and I think all of the pieces looked so elegant together.
Whether you’re planning a wedding at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve, love two-letter monograms just as much as Kait and Alex, or you’re searching for inspiration for a timeless blush and gold wedding invitation suite, I think you will enjoy the photos Haley Richter Photography captured below!
