It’s incredible to live in an area with such a bounty of wedding venues! I feel like Philadelphia and the surrounding areas boast some of the best and most diverse spaces, and it seems just about impossible to not find a space perfect for a soiree of any style. Today, we’re off to a mansion for an elegant wedding (it’s a virtual field trip, but a fun one nonetheless)!
Jillian and Mark became husband and wife at Knowlton Mansion. The space is an estate that’s owned and operated by Conroy Catering, and the company just renovated and refurbished it entirely! It now feels much more contemporary, but it hasn’t lost an ounce of its historic charm. With terraces, gardens filled with blooms, and so much more, it’s so clear why J+M chose Northeast Philadelphia’s Knowlton Mansion as their ceremony and reception location.
When we were brainstorming stationery ideas, Jillian mentioned she loved burgundy and gold. To create a more estate worthy feel, I suggested using gold thermography, which allowed all of the gold text on the invitation to be raised. We only used gold thermography on the invitation, and it’s safe to say it looked extra stunning against the burgundy backdrop of the cardstock. The color palette was reversed slightly for the inserts – J+M opted for natural white cardstock paired with burgundy digital printing. The resulting suite still remains as a standout look for sure!
Take a peek at the photos Carly Fuller Photography snapped below! I love the look of the invitation suite styled with the burgundy ribbon, a marble tray, and a glamorous necklace complete with bling.
