There are nearly endless sources to go to when searching for inspiration for a wedding, but it’s not every day that a couple wants to look to their favorite Philadelphia teams for color palette inspiration! But that’s just one of the reasons why Jessica and Daniel are special.
When we started exploring ideas for their save-the-dates, Jessica and Daniel mentioned they wanted to highlight Eagles green. Then when we dove into their invitation, we switched teams (and sports!) and turned to the Phillies for color insight. Together, both of their suites include green and red shades, but they’re made even more special because they’re honoring Jessica and Daniel’s favorite teams.
Not only did we honor the city of Philadelphia through color, but we also honored our hometown by including an outline of the city skyline. Plus, we expanded upon the map we designed for the save-the-date by incorporating additional locations, like their hotel, ceremony, and reception locations.
In terms of how the invitation came together, we layered the main invitation piece first onto gold glitter and then onto a red clutch pocket. Pockets serve as a great spot to place inserts, which is exactly how we used it! We also added a vellum layer on top of the main invitation for another unexpected element that added glamour, just like the gold glitter. A bellyband with the LOVE logo completed the look, and it’s one of my favorite Philadelphia themed wedding invitations to date!
Jessica and Daniel began their wedding day at Old St. Mary’s Church during their ceremony before joining together with their guests once more at Cescaphe Ballroom. Both are beautiful spaces, and I can only hope Jessica and Daniel loved every moment of their Philadelphia wedding day.
