Gabriella and Jon celebrated their wedding day on February 24, 2018. Their day began during their ceremony at Nazareth Academy in Northeast Philadelphia, and I have to add a quick note about this church. Simply put, it’s stunning. The inside features beautiful stained glass windows and vaulted ceilings, and the combination creates a fabulous mix of traditional and elegant styles. It was a wonderful choice for G+J’s ceremony!
Once they were officially Mr. and Mrs., Gabriella and Jon celebrated with their guests at Cescaphe Ballroom. The Ballroom was once a movie palace, and Cescaphe kept the Old Hollywood feel at heart while transforming it into a beloved wedding venue in the city. The couple’s ceremony and reception venues related back to their love of Old Hollywood and art deco styles beautifully.
Knowing they were inspired by both, I opted to combine Old Hollywood and art deco styles together when designing their wedding invitation suite. Guests were greeted by a red glitter bellyband complete with an art déco inspired monogram, and inside they found Gabriella and Jon’s main invitation and inserts. The invitation featured a black background while the inserts were white, and all of the pieces tied together thanks to the use of black and white ink and a mix of block and script fonts. I particularly love how we chose to print G+J’s names in red ink on their invitation!
