Originally, Gabriella and Dominick were supposed to say, “I do,” on Saturday, January 23. However, winter storm Jonas had another plan for the pair! Due to the snow, the pair recited their vows on Sunday, January 24, at Our Lady of Calvary Church. Post-ceremony, G+D asked friends and family to “be our guest” at their Cairnwood Estate reception (a fitting locale for a Disney-loving couple!).
Gabriella absolutely adores Disney and glamour, and she wanted her invitation suite to be filled with two of her greatest inspirations! While designing the suite, we took careful consideration to ensure the wording reflected a ball-like feel (a princess was marrying her prince!), plus we added a script font and a castle. Pink, purple, and blue served as the main colors for G+D’s invitation suite. However, gold always makes a suite even more glamorous which is why it was added as another color.
I began by printing the script font onto the invitation using gold thermography. Then I added just the right amount of glitter to Cinderella’s castle. Gold foil stamping was used on the back of the invitation, and the invitation was printed on white gold metallic paper. The inserts incorporated pink, purple, and blue (each insert was a different color), and they were also printed with gold thermography to match the invitation. To tie everything together, I incorporated a gold glitter band that had a purple satin ribbon layered on top.
