Creating just because is an important part of my growth process as a business owner and entrepreneur. When I’m asked to participate in a styled shoot to offer inspiration to couples, I love having the opportunity to be included. Shoots are a time for me to test new concepts, watch new color palettes form, and sometimes even work with new-to-me wedding professionals. The majority of my work day is spent designing for couples with specific ideas in mind, which I love. But, there will always be something special about designing something just because I’m inspired by it (although, I hope you will be too).

I was just featured on Every Last Detail, along with an incredible team, and ELD used the perfect word to describe the shoot: cheerful. When Keara Anne Weddings sent her inspiration for the shoot, her ideas all stemmed from a bright color palette. That offered a great jumping off point for me to design the wedding invitation and wedding menu. Because the inspiration called for an intimate wedding and brunch set at Sage Farmhouse, I wanted the stationery to feel simple and rustic, yet romantic and refined. All of the stationery pieces featured watercolor backdrops, deckled paper edges, and a script font reminiscent of hand-lettering. But, each piece was printed onto ivory paper and featured limited amounts of color so as not to take away from the boldness of the rest of the inspiration, including the flowers from Lavender, Lilacs and Love.
