Elise and Josh welcomed their guests to the elegant Flanders Hotel for a destination wedding in Ocean City, New Jersey on October 3, 2015. Wording is so important when designing save-the-dates and invitations, and I loved how we opted to ask guests to join E+J for a “seaside ceremony”. It sounded like a lovely, inviting idea for the fall when the beach would still be warm but the summer crowds would have long dissipated. Mother Nature had other plans, however, and E+J’s wedding day turned into a completely indoor event. However, any event at the Flanders Hotel never disappoints!
While designing the pair’s invitations, I wanted to ensure every piece was elegant just like their reception location. I added lace detailing, and I chose to letterpress Elise and Josh’s suite onto beautiful thick cream cotton stock. The navy and gray color palette looked wonderful on the invite, and I also loved the RSVP and Accommodations cards we chose to print digitally. Elise and Josh’s monogram was the perfect finishing touch – adding a monogram is always a good idea!
