How do you get your closest friends to be in your wedding party? It’s simple. Just ask! How you decide to ask is up to you, but it’s traditional to do it with stationery. I can and will design Philadelphia custom stationery for all occasions, including when you need to ask your bridesmaids to be in your wedding!
Here are a few ideas for how you can make your bridesmaids’ invitations into something really special:
Pithy Wording
A cute saying will surely delight your bridesmaids! How could they say no to any of the following invites?
– “I found my man, but I need my girls.”
– “I’ve got the script, I just need the stars!”
– “I promise no ugly dress if you’ll just say yes!”
– “I couldn’t say ‘I do’ without you!”
– “I need something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and you.”
Messages From The Heart
If something short and sweet just isn’t your style, personalizing your bridesmaids’ invitations with a heartfelt message might do the trick. Keep it short–under a paragraph. If you’re not much of a writer, you can come up with a list of things you’re excited to do with your bridesmaids. Start your invitations off with “Will you…” and then go into your list: “Plan with me? Reassure me that everything will be perfect? Help me pick out my dream dress?”
Gift Invitations
You’ll need to get your bridesmaids gifts anyway. Why not include them with your bridesmaids’ invitations? Have custom labels printed onto their favorite bottle of wine, or include a tiny message inside of a locket. You could woo your lovely ladies with cupcakes in a jar with “Will you be my bridesmaid?” printed on them, or attach a custom made gift tag to a box of pretty treats, like macarons. There’s also the bridesmaids’ box or gift basket route, which you can use to supply your ‘maids with everything they’ll need on your wedding day, plus a few extra surprises!
