When your wedding venue is one of the most classic in Philadelphia – hello, Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue – your wedding invitation suite has to introduce your soiree in the most classic of ways! And there are few suites more classic and completely luxurious than this one.
When we started to pull together pieces of inspiration, Courtney and Anthony were quick to note letterpress was one of their favorite details. This printing technique is one I love, and it’s also perfect for a classic suite. To keep the aesthetic in mind and intact, we opted to print the invitation in black ink onto natural white cotton stock.
Rather than turning to letterpress for the response, accommodations, and brunch inserts, all three pieces were printed digitally for C+A’s fete. Mixing digital and letterpress printing is a great way to make sure the main invitation stands out while also ensuring the suite feels luxurious and cohesive when it’s looked at together by guests and photographed for you to save by your photographer. Stationery hints are some of the best hints (in my opinion)!
Courtney and Anthony’s complete wedding invitation suite was mailed to guests in a natural white colored envelope, but the black shimmery envelope liner offered a hint of surprise and elegance. Make sure to take a peek below, so you can see all of the details, including Courtney’s other request – the square shaped pieces, captured by Carly Fuller Photography!
