When you’re asked to design a wedding invitation for a fete at one of the most renowned properties in the United States, you don’t hesitate before you say yes! Cheylyn and Ryan planned their October 7, 2017 luxury wedding at The Greenbrier in West Virginia. The property is immaculate, friends, and the décor is equally as stunning. So, I knew when I agreed to design this suite I was in for a treat!
Because C+R were planning a fall celebration, they wanted to embrace the season. A burgundy die cut leaf was placed on the outside of this pocketfold wedding invitation, which offered guests their first taste of the season. Upon opening the suite, guests could easily see more leaves falling just above a custom venue illustration of the Greenbrier. We knew these details would stand out on their own, so it was decided digitally printing them in burgundy would look beautiful. However, that allowed for an additional detail to be added – the couple’s names printed in gold foil! Together, the suite looked stunning, especially because we combined two metallic ivory papers together – the pocket fold was actually a shade darker than the invitation or inserts.
I love the way this suite came together, and I have no doubt Cheylyn and Ryan’s ceremony at Greenbrier Chapel and their Kate’s Mountain Lodge reception that followed were completely unforgettable. C+R, thank you for giving me the honor of designing your wedding invitation for your iconic celebration! Also, thank you as always to Carly is Inspired for styling this suite and Carly Fuller Photography for capturing it!
