Cheryl and Aaron were married at the Golden Pheasant Inn on June 28th, 2014. Their Philadelphia wedding invitations used a light tan and a darker brown in a simple, elegant design.
I really like how the colors and motifs of this invitation evoke the slightly rustic, country aesthetic of their venue. The Golden Pheasant Inn is one of Bucks County’s best-known historic landmarks. It was built in 1857. Since then, it has changed hands several times, but retained its architectural integrity and its purpose as a restaurant-cum-hotel. In fact, it has been operating longer than any other commercial property on the Delaware Canal! For more of the building’s fascinating history, visit the Golden Pheasant Inn’s history page.
One of the motifs this invitation used was a leaf-inspired damask pattern used on the envelope liner. I love how it added some visual interest to the otherwise simple invitation design, without being overly distracting.
Congratulations on your marriage, Cheryl and Aaron! Best of luck to you in everything you do.
