When we last talked about Brittany and Brad’s wedding day, I was revealing their modern save-the-date. The piece was oriented horizontally, and it included modern fonts, a hint of gold foil, and a note about the formal invitation that would follow. Today, I’m thrilled to be back to share the formal invitation that did, in fact, follow!
Brittany and Brad celebrated their wedding day on November 30, 2018. Their celebration began at St. George’s Methodist Church in charming Old City Philadelphia before the couple and their wedding party, family, and friends switched locations and resumed B+B’s soiree at Cescaphe Ballroom. With their ceremony and reception locations in mind, Brittany was quick to note she wanted to send the pair’s guests a traditional invitation. However, she also loves modern style. A combination was in order, and I think the results are beautiful!
To keep the horizontal style of their save-the-date in mind, we chose to orient their wedding invitation in the same way. I paired that detail with script font and digital printing to keep the modern style in mind. To add beautiful traditional flair, I turned to bold and elegant gold florals for the bellyband and envelope liner. This piece and the gold on the main invitation piece were both printed using gold foil.
Brittany and Brad are practically family to me, so I was honored to design both their save-the-date and invitation pieces for their black tie optional wedding. I hope you love seeing a peek at the details of this suite, thanks to the photos Haley Richter Photography captured!
