Every few months, I get together with Carly is Inspired and Carly Fuller Photography to style many of my most recent invitations suites. I’m able to revisit each and every suite as we talk through details, flowers, color palettes, and the stories that accompany every design. Today’s suite was captured at our latest styling and photography session, and the photos that you will see are some of my favorites of all time. They represent this suite effortlessly (though these shots have a lot of thought behind them!), and they also capture the essence of my brand’s style. I love them, and I hope you will too.
When Brianna contacted me, she did so knowing I design acrylic wedding invitations. She quickly described exactly what she hoped to mail to her guests, which included a black pocket fold and a gold metallic layer placed underneath the acrylic layer. She was also quick to add that she wanted white matte card stock used for the inserts. The design she described was elegant and luxurious, while also representing a style that was clean and modern.
I knew I wanted to design this special suite immediately, but I wanted to add a few new touches with Brianna and Edwin in mind. The pair celebrated in Boston, Massachusetts where both their ceremony and reception were held at the Taj Boston. As a result, I wanted to add a dash of their favorite city to the monogram square we placed on the outside of the pocket fold. But, this small idea gave way to another one – adding the Boston skyline to the square. With its black silhouette, the skyline adds a personalized touch without taking away any of the modern qualities of the suite. In fact, I think it adds to the glamour of the design in the best way!
I hope you enjoy taking a peek at the photos from this fall wedding suite below. I won’t soon forget this design!
