When a couple is planning a beautiful wedding at Finley Catering’s Crystal Tea Room, you can’t help but use their venue as a serious source of inspiration! When I met Ashley and David, she mentioned she had an idea. She loved the skyline I created for Ali and Dan’s wedding invitation, and I knew we had to incorporate the same type of design into her suite. But, I always like to include a new twist! We switched up the frame on A+D’s suite, and we also incorporated the skyline in a new way.
The Crystal Tea Room includes stunning architecture, so we decided to mirror the venue’s design in the main piece’s frame. If you look closely, you will also see another famed Philadelphia addition – the Liberty Bell! I love how we all agreed the Philadelphia skyline looked incredible inside the Bell, especially when paired with the couple’s two letter monogram. This is one of my favorite ways I have been able to honor Philadelphia with a couple to date!
Gold foil stamping was printed onto the main invitation, which featured thick cotton card stock. Rather than continuing the foil on the inserts, those pieces were printed digitally. However, we did feature an element of continuity by using a thinner version of the same card stock. Once the suite was complete, it was held together with a gold mirror bellyband. The band featured another nod to the City of Brotherly Love thanks to the blush LOVE logo. The suite was slipped inside an envelope lined with blush paper and another peek at the skyline, this time the full view.
Ashley and David’s suite offered the perfect peek inside their luxury summer wedding where they began their day at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and continued on to the Crystal Tea Room. I hope you love their Philadelphia themed suite as much as I did (and still do!) as you enjoy the photos captured by Haley Richter Photography and styled by Carly is Inspired.
