Whenever I think of the Cescaphe Event Group’s first venue, Cescaphe Ballroom, I always think it’s a location that represents the city so well. It’s elegant and glamorous, yet it’s located mere steps away from the heart of the city’s bustling streets. Needless to say, it served as the perfect location for Angela and Blake’s wedding day!
Angela and Blake were drawn to a color palette that would only enhance the glam very much present at the Ballroom, so black, gold, and ivory was an obvious choice! Because they were planning their nuptials in Philadelphia, it was only natural for us to include a hint of Philadelphia’s famed skyline in their wedding. The perfect place for the skyline to make its debut in A+B’s stationery was on their custom monogram! It was a wonderful spot to introduce their wedding’s host city because their custom monogram is what greeted guests when the invitations were removed from their envelopes.
Aside from the monogram, we set out to design an invitation that was luxurious. Angela’s greatest stationery wish was a black invitation, but we knew we needed to stay within their budget. So, I suggested we flood the invitation digitally with black ink to create the look of having white lettering. An insider secret: the “white” is actually the ivory metallic paper showing through!
With a ceremony at St Augustine Church and a reception at the Ballroom, a black and ivory triple layer suite filled with gold glitter was definitely the perfect choice to welcome guests to Angela and Blake’s soiree! I hope everyone loved the suite as much as we did and still do.
