The city of Philadelphia took center stage for Amanda and John’s wedding day on May 6, 2016. The pair began their day at Old St Mary’s where they officially became Mr. and Mrs. Then they joined their family and friends at the always classic and timeless Ballroom at the Ben for a night of dinner, created by Finley Catering, and dancing to celebrate their union.
Because their venue was nothing short of effortlessly chic, I set out to design an invitation suite to match A+J’s beautiful style. Each element of the invitation featured gray and blue ink printed onto white shimmery paper. My favorite detail is the Philadelphia skyline I designed for the top of the piece. The same fonts and color palette continued onto the accommodations and response cards with a fun detail – the Liberty Bell! All of the invitation suite’s elements were held together with a blue shimmery bellyband. The LOVE monogram completed the Philadelphia inspired look, and guests were met with a metallic silver envelope when they received their invites.
