Whenever I’m designing a custom invitation suite, I’m always eager to learn where the event will be held. And, I’m even more curious when I’m designing an invitation for a bridal shower. Sometimes planning a bridal shower can be difficult, especially when you’re hoping to welcome the bride and her friends and family to a location that’s beautiful and slightly different than the rest. That’s where Chesterfield, New Jersey’s The Inn at Fernbrook Farms comes into play.
The Inn at Fernbrook Farms is quaint, cozy, and not lacking on charm. However, it’s also stunningly beautiful. The farm is preserved, but it’s a working farm. Plus, there are spaces inside and outside for events and weddings (think: tents, gardens, and even a hearth!). As you can already imagine, I love that this lovely location is exactly where Alyssa’s mom, Linda, and her future sister-in-law, Erica (a past client!), planned to welcome Alyssa for her surprise bridal shower on July 29, 2017.
While designing Alyssa’s surprise bridal shower invitations, Linda, Erica, and I knew we wanted to keep Alyssa’s wedding invitation in mind, specifically the elements that simply wouldn’t fit design-wise into her wedding’s invitation suite. We quickly realized wood textured paper and peach lace were two pieces that had to be included! The wood textured card stock was in between two layers of ivory metallic card stock, lace detailing was featured inside the invitation, and the peach lace, which was paired with kraft jute, served as a bellyband.
Alyssa’s bridal shower invitation was a new take on rustic style – one that was feminine and bright – and I hope Alyssa was just as surprised by her shower as she was by the event’s stationery suite! Take a peek below at the photos Carly Fuller Photography captured.
